Mapelastic Smart is used where a flexible waterproofing membrane is needed over concrete, render, screeds, marine-grade plywood and other suitable substrates. Because it is applied as a coating system, it can follow many shapes, edges and details that may be difficult for sheet membranes.

How Elephant NZ Applies Mapelastic Smart
Good waterproofing starts with preparation. Before applying Mapelastic Smart, Elephant NZ checks the substrate, surface condition, falls, drainage, corners, joints, cracks and penetrations.
After preparation, the selected primer, reinforcing band or detailing products may be installed where required. Then, the Mapelastic Smart system is applied in coats to create a continuous waterproofing layer across the surface.
