Volclay Voltex
Volclay Voltex Membrane is made up of two Geotextile membranes which are needle punched together and contain 1.1 pounds of Sodium Bentonite per sq. foot. It is an extremely durable product that does not require site concrete and can be laid directly onto clay, sand or compacted hard fill. Steel work or rebar can be laid directly on top – Volclay Voltex does not require any protection if used with 25/7 scoria. While mostly used horizontally, Voltex can also be applied vertically but not on block-work construction. The Volclay Voltex bonds itself to the concrete and becomes a permanent part of the slab or walls, also assisting in keeping moisture in the concrete and improving its curing properties.
